Wood is an amazing natural resource which is renewal. It is made of the cells of the tree, as a plant, there are cell walls, unlike our cells which have none. Within these cell walls are chemicals of cellulose (making them woody). Depending upon the genetics of the specific plant, there is more or less of the particular types of cellulose and lignin. Annual plants have less, perennial plants having more grow upon this and build layers of wood.

Surely we humans have cell walls otherwise we would just be blobs of jelly. OK maybe you are correct.
no cell walls here, if so, I could not move about! We basically are cells of jelly, some with minerals (bone cells) which give us our foundation.
