Keep your mouth shut, don't get into trouble, do your homework and study hard.

I am sure you already know the answer to this question. If not, then you can start by simply listening  and having the desire to learn. To many times, young people think that they already know it all and don't listen. Bottom line, shut your mouth and open your ears. Your classmates may give you a hard time but ya know what, that's OK. In the end, you will be the one that comes out on top and while they spent all their time on their smart phones sending useless text messages and surfing the web, you spent your time learning and building a real future for yourself. That instructor at the head of the class spent many years preparing to teach you. Learn from them, not from your peers around you.
