Sure you can. If you're swimming in a public or private pool where the water is chlorinated, that's going to kill any bacteria in the water. You just have to be more careful if you're going into freshwater like a river or pond, because you could get an infection from a bacteria like Pseudomonas. If you're planning to swim in unchlorinated water, use alcohol or hydrogen peroxide on your piercings after you get out of the water, and you'll be fine.
