Why are so many of our troops coming back home with traumatic brain injury? What can be done to help them?

There have always been problems with military personnel suffering from "after shock"> WW1 it was called shell shock. WW2 it was Gone Troppo, a inference to the tropics where so much fighting took place.

It is, sadly the result of the horrific things the proops, especialy the front line troops, see not on a daily basis but an hourly basis.

The thing the troops need above all is understanding, not sympathetic "Oh you poor thing" treatment.

These people put their lives on the line so the rest of us can sit home and complain about the price of everything and how badly done by we are. The majority of us have no idea what it is like to wear wet clothes for days on end, to freeze your bum off night after night. To be in temperatures so high you persperation nearly boils.

Whilst at the same time someone "out there" is waiting to kill you

The goverment"s dont care they leave, that, to the parents "Love ones try to help ."A Medal for losing a "Leg ,arm "Traumatic" head  "Wounds Young men ,some only "twenty Even younger. For "what" There"s No answer to that.
