When you open a new mail account they send a confirmation link you must click on to activate. That may be why Its not working. It might not be activated.The time limit to activate may have expired. Then you may have to start over with the same info .When you type gmx in google to go to gmx use the second choice on the page when you arrive at the search site.That one works for me . Good Luck
