hey there, helstern, open up ur pik so u have it at whatever size u want, and on ur screen, with nothin in front of it, includin the cursor. hold the left 'shift' key down and look 4 the key that has 'PrtScn' on it.    On a normal pc keyboard it is usually directly above the 'Insert' which is above the 'Delete' key. on a laptop u may have to use the'Fn' key.    This operation puts a picture of ur desktop into ur 'clipboard', ready 4 pastin. so next open, ms 'paint', it's under 'accessories' and once open, hold down the 'Ctrl' key down n' hit the 'v' key to paste it.   U now have the ur pik plus all the rest ur desktop inside the ms-paint window, if u clik down the left mouse button n' hold it down u can 'move' this pik until u get it centered. careful coz u don't get another chance once u let the left button go, now go to the dual colomned toolbox on left hand side and chooze the top right square with left mouse clik, (inside it is a dotted rectangled box), ur cursor will change to a + sign when u r ready 2 select the area of the pik u want. U uze the left button n' hold it down then draw ur area n' let go when u have the picture u want selected.    Now do 'ctrl' down n' hold then hit the'x' key, this will cut ur selected area, now the 'ctrl' down again n' hold then hit the'n' key, it will ask u if u want 2 save it, select no.   U will now have a new window, now 'ctrl' down once n' hold then hit the'v' key, this pastes the clipboard into the new window, save it call it something then in the little rectangle below where u named it there is a 'save as type' box, change it 2 jpg and clik 'OK'. U now have an alternative pik 2 ur original one n' even if u saved the entire page it will be only be 200kb = 0.2mb at most, voila!! qed!!   {^_^}

hey there ramos,
if u want my opinion, running updatez iz 'fixin somethin that ain't broke ' so turn ur windows updates off, especially with xp coz there iz a 'luviathan' sized service pack out called  ser-pak-3 n' unless u have a quad or at least a fast dual core cpu, it will dramatically slow ur pc'z performance, u will think it'z runnin in syrup. ;-)
but on top of this it will take out all ur previous restore point'z, so u cannot go back to a previous date or time, also within a fews days, (don't know the exact period), it will take out ur 'remove' button' in the place where u go to uninztall ur programz, so u won't be able to remove it from there either. there are people in jail for this sort of behaviour but i guess when someone can buy whole country'z who iz gonna try to take them to court.  the only way of removing it after this point is to run a 2nd edition version of ur win-xp and at the 2nd 'r' during the installation of xp, hit the 'r' key,(if u don't see an 'r' here, u have the wrong version in cd-r), this replaces all the files that were originally inztalled by xp - without harming ur data,(shame they couldn't keep this feature in vista, 7 and 8), hope that helps u. check out my pc-laptop-repairs dot com site for a lot more help with fixez  {^_^}

hey there, nirali, to open a .rar, u need a compression engine software like winzip, winrar, zipgenius etc inztalled on ur pc. this 'rar' of ur'z is a file that has been compressed by winrar, u can get a free version of it by juz  googl'ing it , once u have inztalled it u juz right clik on the file u want 2 open n' chooze, ' extract to.. followed by the name of ur file.                                                what winrar does is, if the name of ur rar'ed file is say, called 'testy',  it will 1st create a folder called testy, and then it will expand the contents of that 'rar', into this new folder. from there u juz double clik on the folder, (u may find another folder of the same name here), juz doulble clik on this one to and u will see what u have inside.  all pc'z should have winrar installed coz it'z haz the best compression rate n' it'z nice, quik n' eazy. hope that helps. {^_^}
