Where is my birth mother Brenda Logan from HARLEM.NY
Answers: 1 Views: 505 Rating: 1 Posted: 13 years ago
PLEASE be very careful. It is just possible someosne on the site may know a lady of that name, but not likely. If you old enough... (it's 18 in the UK... I'll add a note for somebody to check that in the US) You can find out the name and details of your birth mother and trace her. Think before you contact her. There could be all sorts of reasons why she did it but giving up a child is the hardest decision any woman has to make, and it is almost always done with love... wanting a better life for her baby than she could offer. Time has moved on and so has her life. She may have met, perhaps married, a man who loves her. Suppose she hasn't told him about you? There are ways of making contact and again, American site members can advise how to do it discreetly. If you are younger, who is caring for you now? Talk to them, but think carefully. If you've been adopted or long-term fostered these people love you. They will understand you want to know your birth mother, but don't make them feel unloved and worthless. Take care, and good luck.

SHOULD PRINCE CHARLES BE NEXT IN LINE FOR BRITISH THRONE
Answers: 2 Views: 924 Rating: 1 Posted: 13 years ago
Prince Charles is next in line. I don't believe he will be a popular king: too many people loved Diana. he also wants to change the coronation oath from "Defender of the Faith" to "Faiths", plural, which is an impossible concept. Muslims deny Jesus is the Son of God, which is the Christian, in our case, Anglican, belief. We are happy to allow people to practise other religions: some of our greatest cathedrals are Catholic, there are Mosques in most towns, and a wide selection of chapels, but we are Anglicans. I look forward to the day when William and Catherine come to the throne. The best, the caring side, of Diana, and the support of a lovely but very sensible girl.

should Princes Anne be next in line for the British throne?
Answers: 2 Views: 417 Rating: 1 Posted: 13 years ago
No. I think the day will come when the eldest child of the monarch is the heir regardless of sex and that would be fair. Princess Anne was the second child and therefore her elder brother, Charles, is the heir, followed by Prince William and then Prince Harry. Prince Harry will step back if Kate has a child, girl or boy. The Monarchy must have a direct line or there would be chaos... Too many heirs so old we would have a different king or queen every few years. Our present queen is a working monarch who sees state papers daily and talks with the current prime minister weekly: a steadying influence in an unstable world. The pageantry is just the trappings, which the whole world seems to enjoy.

Curious to know how many musically inclined individuals are out here.
Answers: 17 Views: 1041 Rating: 4 Posted: 13 years ago
I love music: classical, opera, choral and pop. If I had three wishes one of them would be to sing in tune. I'm not tone-deaf because wrong notes hurt, but the closest I can get to not sounding utterly awful is "happy birthday".

whats the longest youve ever waited for the "right" answer to a question?
Answers: 9 Views: 413 Rating: 3 Posted: 13 years ago
I waited 24 hours for my first question to be answered, probably because I had done a good internet search first. Somebody who actually knew the answer gave it to me. Signing in the look every hour or so, because I needed to know urgently for my work, was how I started answering questions.

do I have migraine because I am overweight?
Answers: 3 Views: 290 Rating: 0 Posted: 13 years ago
Very unlikely. I'm slim and have had it all my life. There are many triggers and some people have more than one thing that starts a migraine. Medical science has finally come up with treatments that work. Go to your doctor, and be prepared to go back as often as it takes to find the tablets that work for you. While you are there take Darci's advice and get you weight problem checked out too. There could be all sort of reasons for it and it should be sorted.

Since most people on here are aware of the problem it seems only fair to tell you that TSC has apologised. That apology has been accepted. Subject closed... other than to confirm his party invitation :-)
