I beg to differ on your answer to the fact that we don't know where we will spend our eternity. GOD gives us the knowledge and sense to know where we will spend our eternity after death. I know that if I died today, I will go to heaven. I haven't always felt that way, but as a Christian, I have the reassurnace of knowing that the LORD has prepared for a me a place after this life is over. I must believe that and do. Being saved is more than just escaping our earthly life and entering into our physical death, but in fact we are immortal creatures that have spirits that will live on and on. Where that be is up to us. GOD gives us the choice of where we want to spend our eternity once our lives here on earth are over. Being saved is a choice. I appreciate the fact that the LORD gives us the choice of heaven or hell and when it's all said and done, ultimately it was up to you and I where we wanted to go...
Followers of Christ were first called CHRISTIANS in ACTS 2:38 on the day of PENTECOST in ANTIOCH. You will never hear the church referred to by any other name as you do today. I guess the real question would be "Where did man derive all these other religions from" after the day of Pentecost and of what origin were these other churches? There was never a Baptist church mentioned in the Bible, Catholic, Holiness, Presbyterian, Methodist, and so on. I believe I will pose that question next. Thanks, MUFEEDAN.
Oh, Okay, I'm sorry...I had been invited to this site to participate in the questions. I found the invitation in my email. Once I followed the directions to go to the site and fill out my info, I looked at the top of the page and there was a picture of the THREE KITTY CATS I had placed in my computer some months back for another site. I hadn't even filled out my profile info are anything like that before I saw the THREE CATS IN MY PROFILE. I hope that made sense.
Loving the LORD comes from the person and HE gives everyone the choice of how they wish to serve HIM. HE is even gracious enough to allow you to reject HIM. On the day of reckoning, it is then that we will all be judged. It won't matter what anyone else thinks, just how you were while you were living your life and how you treated HIM during your life. On that note, I find my LORD very gracious to give me a choice on whether I choose to love HIM or not, even though HE gave HIS life for my own. One day each of us will have to face HIM. GOD sent us ONE BOOK on this earth for us to follow. One book that has stood the test of time. The more you study the more you will find it to be true. You've got to remember that Satan is working hard as well, hard to get us to join him when all this is over. Sadly, a lot of us are making this battle easy for him. I urge each and every one to just read your BIBLE and study it. Pray to GOD for strength and the truth. Believe me, if you truly mean it, HE will make sure that you find it. Don't wait till it's all over and you can't do a thing about your soul. Just by you reading this site, there's hope...I am a Christian, a black woman, have been ministering to the community since I was eleven. I live in a racist town where the klan still march. Not so long ago, crosses were burned and the cowards wouldn't admit they did it, but times are changing and EVERYONE has a right to know the LORD, the racist, the races that are treated badly and looked down upon, the people who could do better but choose to be thorn in the flesh to many, GOD discounts no one...I've lived it and stand by it and will help any one that needs me.
It is assigned to each and every being the opportunity to die, that is unless the LORD return before we die. There is a spiritual death for those who choose not to live by the LORD, GOD after we leave this earth. The LORD will be returning no matter what anyone may say or believe. It is the choice of each and every individual where they choose to spend their spiritual lives or deaths when their life here on earth is over.
A rainbow is created as a result of the rays from sunlight passing through vapors of water in the sky. Each vapor becomes a prism like a mirror breaking down sunlight into individual colors creating a spectrum. If you notice, when you see a rainbow, the sun is out and it is probably sprinkling outside. Kind of cool to figure that two very beautiful creations can create such a divine spectacle. GOD made a point to remind us that HE will never destroy the earth with water ever again. The next time will be fire.
