While certainly a classic and traditional enough layout, I'd venture to say that the 5035 was not one of Patek's most successful dial designs, especially when compared to its handsome big brother of the era, the link 3940 Perpetual Calendar. You can track that core feature back to the original Legacy Machine No. 1 back in 2011.
