what would be the cause of not having 12 volts to rear trailer hookup on 2006 chev. avalanche?
Answers: 4 Views: 374 Rating: 0 Posted: 12 years ago
resistance in the supply causes a drop in voltage and lower output from the lights. Most problems i have repaired result from bad ground trailer to vehicle connection. If trailer has no breaks get a brake connector plug and connect the lights like the directions provide, but use the brake connector to connect ground to trailer and vehicle. After this check voltage again. May be finished, but if not this will eliminate many problems later. Resistance can be caused in a trailer either by dirt/corrosion or whatever in either the plug or the crimp connections to the various light holders. I start at the battery, to establish the line voltage. Then go to the trailer light plug on the car to test voltage. (Run a jumper to the negative post of the battery to do the tests.) If line voltage still low , then start dividing in half the line from the trailer plug to the lights at the end of the trailer then test voltage with the trailer plug on and the lights on. If you find a splice that shows voltage drop before and after the connection, it is bad, replace. If the splice shows the drop there could be a partial break inside the wire between the trailer plug and the splice. Do same test on the other leg of the wire from splice and lights. It is also possible to have voltage loss inside the light housing. **************** If none of these tests work, I have solved the problem by buying a simple relay form AutoZone and used the trailer plug lead to turn on the relay(like a switch) then run a fused line to the car battery positive post. Still have to ground the relay and the lights well. I have even done this relay box thing to solve fuse blowing problems that result from the trailer wiring pinching against the ground. It is easier to trace a single fuse at the battery than the whole vehicle and the inline fuse is cheaper as well if it happens often. Have to place the relay wiring into a dry box for long term use. Home depot sells them in the electrical section. Hope this helps

What is the greatest sign of the true Christian church?
Answers: 24 Views: 3415 Rating: 3 Posted: 12 years ago
christian= Christ so the first requirement is a "true" understanding of Jesus. Each "false church" looses it in the understanding of Jesus, the Blood Atonement, the relevance and veracity of scripture, and the "Return." Heb 6:1 lists the basic beliefs of a new believer. 1)Repentance form dead works; 2)Faith toward God; 3)Doctrine of Baptisms(immersion); 4)Resurrection from the dead; 5)Eternal Judgement. Each false belief or false church deviates from one or more of these basic doctrines. Because a new person may not know what the true beliefs of the organization may be, one outward indicator is the presence of a larger percentage of new believers (less than one year.) The groups that cling to the truth seem to grow with new believers more. If there are less 5% new believers with two years this is a sign that God is not sending new believers there to grow. I think it is a warning. if the group is less than to years old, you can see if you are growing closer to the things of the Lord personally as a test. If the true scriptures are taught then put in force, growth happens. It is as simple as eating food and exercising. Only food makes fat and sassy, only exercise makes tired malnourished bodies. The same goes with the things of the Spirit. All work no word, yields "burnout;" all word no work leads to dead faith! It works better in balance.

What is the true sign of God's church?
Answers: 14 Views: 3788 Rating: 4 Posted: 12 years ago
the word church comes from the Greek word meaning "called out" or "called out ones." I follow a wide understanding in which more are included as opposed to more excluded. So the widest understanding is that the first person who started the "church" had a personal "revelation" of Jesus or in the broader sense of God (in case where Jesus is not the center and object of the church). So by this understanding any group that believes it is called out from the body of people at large and have a regular meeting qualify as a church. The word belief is critical as the idea of church implies a set of belief that may or may not be identified, and /or written down. Some groups have a clearly delineated set of beliefs while others have very few. Often a visitor may participate for a long time while never knowing the basic belief set. The critical components are a sense of group and a sense of common beliefs.

What does "la lunche" mean?
Answers: 2 Views: 2032 Rating: 0 Posted: 12 years ago
"la lunche" - it is a morph of the English culture into the Spanish. it simply means the "light" noon meal. people who use the term usually mean something to eat like a small meal in the middle of the day that would not incapacitate a worker from finishing the day of work. It would be more than a snack, but not fill a person up for the day. The contrast is the "la comida" implying the meal of the day or a meal before a "siesta" or afternoon nap of a couple of hours or so.

how do you know when your tourk converter is bad on your tranmission
Answers: 2 Views: 584 Rating: 0 Posted: 13 years ago
the torque converter provides a little slippage between engine speed and wheel speed when it is working right. if your dash board has a tach. to tell engine speed, you can watch how much faster the engine is going than the expected road speed when you accelerate. For each car it is a little different, but it should be fairly predictable for your car (200-400 RPMs.) If it is much more than normal it is because the inside bearings/bushings are loose and that produces blow by. It normally increases a small amount over a long time. Change fluid and add a transmission treatment for your type transmission to remedy this. The other fault is if leaks develop in some of the seals, and the bearings lock up. this will lug the engine and make it difficult to start or shift. For this the part has to be replaced. Sorry. Trans mission repair places sometimes replace the part that is functioning okay, 1. to hike up the bill, you don't know anyway, or 2to replace the bushings ($10+1/2 hr labor.) The torque converter lasts a lot longer than the rest of the trans. They are kinda expensive and at times the place charges for the new one with out actually doing anything but reinstalling the old one, how would you know? Sorry my skepticism of these places comes out. There are good places/guys but my trust is a little low.....

what is the purpose of fan shroud in engines radiator
Answers: 3 Views: 603 Rating: 0 Posted: 13 years ago
the centrifugal force of the fan would push the air laterally out side the fan, but the shroud redirects the air into the radiator where it can do the good work of cooling the coolant and that cools the engine
