"la lunche" - it is a morph of the English culture into the Spanish. it simply means the "light" noon meal. people who use the term usually mean something to eat like a small meal in the middle of the day that would not incapacitate a worker from finishing the day of work. It would be more than a snack, but not fill a person up for the day. The contrast is the "la comida" implying the meal of the day or a meal before a "siesta" or afternoon nap of a couple of hours or so.
