What about them? They are against pain and fever, and you can purchase them without prescription. They have few side-effects, but get well informed about interactions with other drugs (if you are taking others regularly).

Acetamenophene drugs which do not contain aspirin are pain relivers and fever reducers.  They are used to treat headache, muscle aches, arthritis, backache, toothache, colds and fever.  An overdosage of acetamenophene can cause liver damage.  Adults should not take more than 1 gram (1000 me) of acetamemophne per dose or 4 gram (4000 mg) per day.  Avoid drinking alcohol which may increase liver damage.

They can be liver toxic to some who take the recommended dose and can be liver toxic if too many are taken. Alcohol should be avoided if taking this medication.
    All medications have side effects.
