HIV was found to be prevalent in the gay community back in the eighty's predominately amongst gay men. It eventually spread to many who were promiscuous. Is HIV a gay man disease today? No. The group most at risk today are senior citizens.

Why is that senior? I'm a senior and I don't think aid isn't going to kill me!

They said that in the 80's. Also in the 80's they found it effected everyone. It is not a gay disease, it is a human disease. It was was created from men having sex with chimpanzees who were infected with HIV-1 a primarily chimp/gorilla disease which mutated to HIV-2 making it a human disease. It actually should have been coined a bestiality disease since it was bestiality that created it.
