Some programs need to come up when your computer starts. There are some you can remove from the start up list but you must make sure you know what they do before you remove them.

Removing a Program From a Menu
To remove a program from a menu, follow these steps:

1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Taskbar and Start Menu.
2. Click the Start Menu Programs tab, and then click Remove.
3. Locate the program you want to remove, click the program, and then click Remove. Note that this deletes the shortcut to the program on the Start menu, but it does not delete the program from your hard disk.
