    No one stops women riding or racing on bikes so when will the ladies take part and prove the feminists right by beating all the men?

      It will happen when a woman comes along that is physically as strong as any man that is participating. No doubt there are already plenty of women that are mentally adept at winning this race, it's just the physical aspect that prevents it from happening.

        The late Beryl Burton was one of the greatest athletes the UK has produced. She held the 12 hour record, beating men, for several years.
        There is no reason why a woman could not compete in the Tour, and i hope I live to see the day.
