Fresh fruits and vegetables are the best bet.
No added table salt to anything.
No packaged food products, they are full of sale (NaCL)
    No sodas
No ham, or other meat products that have been processed.
When you are buying groceries look for the Sodium contents on the cans. Most soups are loaded with salt. You can buy low salt veggies also in cans. We use frozen veggies when fresh ones are not available.
There are health websites that give you a lot of information on this and you will find them useful.
I have learned to cook with herbs and non-salt seasonings and my husband and I are doing well and like the food.

Good luck to you, changing the way food tase and learning to like it is a process. After a while you will find that what you used to eat taste too salty.
