Identity theft, has it ever happened to you?

Three times in the last two years, not much money but the hassle of closing accounts etc; Not fun. Will never ever put a credit card on line again.

    Thanks ED LOL

My bank caught the theft before I even got a statement. Someone had actually scanned my credit card to order $800.00 in furniture from Hampton VA. My Credit Card company thought it was odd and called me. They never caught the guys but what is odd is that a card was actually "scanned". Apparently, Hotel Room Keys can be easily made into credit cards as long as they have your CC number.

Interesting. I got ripped for $2,100. The bank tracked them down and the Attorney General in Florida eventually charged them.
Not in todays meaning but when I was in the army I had a really close cobber and he did something wrong and was placed on a fizzer and I was assigned as the guard to accompany him in front of the Battalion Commander.

When the charge was read out it was in MY name instead of my mates`.

The Colonel said hang about that is ----- and the guard is ----- what is going on here?

He dismissed the case and we marched out whilst he kept the officer who had laid the charge in his office for a "discussion"
never that. i fell for a scam once.

alot of women did im sorry what else can i say
Several years ago after the death of a father inlaw, got a call from a so called collection agency saying there was an uncollected debt. This was a scam. After finding out where and who they really were, i had a pizza delivered to them. Hour later i called them back and told them to stop scamming people. I said i know who they are since i was the one that delivered the pizza to them. Even though it was not me. I did threaten them and tell them i will retaliate against them. These type of people that steal identity and scam others just are not scared about what might happen to them.
