      If you just drag it out of the trash can you can recover it, if you have emptied the trash you can still recover it with the right tools but it is very technical and I would recommend a hi tech person do it or you could lose it permanently.

        I know that when you delete a file it goes into the computer's bin and doesn't truly get wiped out until you "permanently delete" your bin. You can find the bin on the right most corner of your Dock. But once you do clear out your trash it's virtually impossible to restore the deleted file. A computer technician (a Mac genius at the apple store) might be able to restore a ghost image of the file.
