What would be a good age for a parent to tell their son to get a life of there own and stop sponging, my son is 32 and still thinks I should support him tells me all the time that he did not ask to be brought into this world he mental or just lazy

There are people that I know were asked to leave the paternal home when they graduated from high school. There are others that were asked to leave once they graduated from college or when they got their first real jobs.

It's up to Mom and Dad to put the hammer down and say when, not the child. No child was ever asked to be born, but no parent brought a child into this world in order to pay his or her way for their entire adult life. Children need to learn to be self-sufficient.

Its been left too long,he should have been out of home ages ago finding his way in this big world,maybe he feels he hasnt got the skills to stand on his own 2 feet, he wont know independant living until he has got out there and got a life. Better late than never

Apparently you are way past the time for your son to be independent. I started when mine was young letting him take responsibility for his toys, room and as he aged it was cutting grass and learning to cook. He also understood that going to school and learning was not a choice.
Does your son have any job skills? Education?
Does he help around your home? Where does he get the money to go out etc? Does he drive your car?
Suggest you let him know it is time to grow up and give him 3 months to make some adult decisions.
Your son can only spong off of you as long as you permit the behavior.

Is your son depressed? Have friends? Do drugs?
