    How long does a provider of healthcare have to tell you your coverage is ending?

    I am retired; I recieved a letter from my healthcare provider on 6/29/11 stating my coverage was ending 6/30/11. The reason given was company declared bankruptcy. Can they give such short notice legally?

        Go to your state website and find the link to the Insurance Commissioner. They should have info for the bankrupt company and who is taking over the coverage. If not, contact the commissioner and tell them about your problem.
