What recommendation would you make for treatment for ptsd after one year when I still have vertigo, headaches, waivering stumbling and other symptoms that do not go away?

A dog charged me and knocked me to the pavement in May of 2010. I have a brain concussion and had many symptoms. Many are gone. The dizziness, staggering like I am drunk, nausea and some other symptoms still hang on. I am in my 80th year and am concerned that I will have to live with vertigo, headaches(intense from back of left side of head to behind ear) sharp dart sensations through the front top of my head, nausea, voice fluctuation and will need a cane or walker for the rest of my life. Do you have some advice. I have been to a neurosurgeon, a psychiatrist and therapy referred by my general doctor and I have not recovered after one year and one month. I was very active before the injury walking, hiking and other activities. I take no medication other than vitamins. The psychiatrist recommended a medication for depression, however, I do not feel depressed and also, the medication had an adverse affect. causing nausea, diarrhea and numbness in my limbs so I ceased taking it. I would appreciate any advice you can give.

    Thank you

Mel, my son-in-law is going to physical theraphy and it seems to help. In his case they do not know what caused it. I hope they can help you though.

Ms. LeFever you have my sincerest sympathies and deepest wishes that you will find a doctor who will be able to alleviate your suffering arising from such a terrible accident.
