I was diagnosed with acute sinusitis in late Oct. 2010. I lost my taste and smell in early Nov. 2010. I have regained a little in the last couple of months but everything taste really bad. What can I do to get it back to normal?

Thanks, but I've already been to 3 different MDs. Just thought somebody might have gone through something simular.

I've had sinusitus since a child and nobody ever told me to do differently than to take cold med's every time it gets bad.

Try Zinc. ( a Vitamin) Doses of about 80 mg. daily. Allows acuity of taste and smell.Anything higher than 100mg can depress your immune system.

as 6dogs suggest you really need to consult your ENT doctor there could be a underlying problem get it checked out soon it could be nothing but at least you will know and the Doctor could put it right and you may be able to taste and smell once again could luck

Could try vics vapor rub under your nose for a week and mix salt, hot sauce, horseradish and southern comfort into a mouthwash (but don't swallow it)?
