When your heart stops hurting and you find another who makes you happy and makes you feel loved, then you will be able to forgive. It's good for your mind, heart and soul if you do. Until then, keep your emotions and work through them the best you can. The person who cheated on you will just have to wait for the forgiveness they seek. They will also have to spend time dealing with their own guilt which is possibly why they want you to forgive them, because they can not forgive them self.
