Your toolbar is not gone. It's hidden. Move your cursor to the top of the screen and about one 1/4 inch down from the very top. Right click on your mouse. You will see a list of your toolbar(s) click the one you want to use so a check mark appears next to it. Your toolbar will become visible again.
