Geocaching is an outdoor sporting activity in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches", anywhere in the world.

I've done this in the Pocono Mts.(PA) and it is a lot of fun. There are many websites set up for people who want to try different levels.

I did one and the subject was "beer". So I brought a small object relating to beer(an opener) and when I got to the "cache", which is usually a small metal container, I put in the opener...took out an object that was left by someone else (a beer coaster) and signed into a log book. Fun group activity.
Those are catching on here, starting a few years back. We have many hicking trails in the state and people have taken up this past time to make it more interesting for folks out for a hike. Sounds like a lot of fun.
