The Navy teaches you this, or boy scouts, at least they used to.. I know one knot, actually two knots, I know how to tie a square knot and I know how to tie one on, usually resulting in a knot on my head when I pass out and hit the floor..

Did you check that link I posted? It's actually pretty cool. It even has a java window that shows in animation how to make the knot. I was going to mention the Boy Scouts but I wasn't sure if LAO54 is a boy, though I think even the Girl Scouts now learn some knots too.
