When traveling and not staying overnight, where may one park a travel trailer while exploring a community?

a rest area along the freeway!
    JB's

I would not wish to circle around approximately 60 miles for a rest stop.

why should you? There are rest area exits along the freeway.
Most but not all Walmart stores. Check first.

Most communities have areas for traveling trailers and buses, as well as public parking lots and state or county parks where you could park. Wal-Mart sometimes allows you to park in their lots, all of them used to permit overnight parking, only some do now.
