I believe that a lot of their decisions regarding any cases made against the government by any group of citizens is predominantly ruled in favor of the government, and this is leading to a gradual erosion of a citizen's individual civil rights. The sad thing of this is, that any time they allow the rights of a U. S. Citizen to be compromised or violated, it makes it all that much easier for government to justify compromising or taking away the rights of someone else. I don't say this to bad mouth government, but this is just an observation of their never-ending play on words. "It's this when it's in their favor, and it's that when it's not...although they'll be talking about the very same thing."

I doubt that the average person could judge a case and not have their personal beliefs or opinions make an impact on their decisions? Sometime, somewhere, they will influence your decisions.
I don't believe that the supreme court has been anywhere near true conservative in years. Most of the big cases have gone to the side of the liberals, so I don't believe they are fair and balanced, but they are only human I'm sure if you had the job you would do your best to be unbiased. The only problem with that is there is no such thing as unbiased.
