A branded store is a store that has a relationship with a larger company that has a recognized brand. An example would be a gas station that is a Shell as opposed to a gas station that is not associated with a brand. Another example would be a Subway sandwich shop would be considered branded and a local sub shop without an affiliation with a franchise would be considered unbranded.
