      There are a lot of unused phones out there which people have because they upgraded. Advertise for one of those, then get your provider to activate it. You are going to have a fee for adding another phone plus the activation fee. Have you ever subscribed to "Freecycle" or "Craigs List" (sites where you can advertise)?

        well, if you are part of AT&T, you can get an Iphone 3G for only 49.95, i believe.

          Have you tried Consumer Cellular? Great plan, service and price......inquire, it may meet your needs. It did ours.
