    how can i get tar stains from clothing

    Good luck with that. I deal with that stuff on a daily basis, and I just keep sets of clothes specifically for that purpose. Kerosene or diesel fuel breaks it down, but then you are stuck with the smell, which takes a long time and many, many washings for it to go away.

    Kerosene. Definitely.
    if its a small spot, try some "bug and tar remover" from your local auto parts store, good luck!
    With a name such as yours, I'd be very careful following Wonderer's suggestion!!!
    Put some white cotton behind the stain and gently rub with meths. Also very good for removing dried paint.
