absolutely saturate it with a good quality100% chlorine and all the algae,etc. will float to the surface ready to be cleaned. it will only take a few minutes for the chlorine to react with the contaminated pool, obviously it will take a while for the required PH for swimming in. by the way this procedure is known as 'FLOCKING''.
