You probably want to find another physician, one familiar with depression. Do not know the drug you wrote about but there is a similar sounding drug, Lortab. If that is what you are trying to spell you definitely need another physician. Lortab is a narcotic, used for pain and can be addictive. The last thing a depressed person needs is narcotics. I have depression also, did not manifest itself until I was in my early 60's. There are many antidepressants on the market, you need a professional to determine which would be best for you. Sometimes it is trial and error. Depression is usually caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. Best wishes and keep trying.
