      What type computer do you have?
      If you have a Mac and have the system disk you can reset password by starting up on the system disk (insert disk hold down C key and restart) and under menu click on reset password and follow directions.

        What password? Your administrative password? If so, I've never found a way to retrieve that one without contacting the maker of the computer and paying them to remote access it and change the password.
