Maybe you need to rethink why you want to end it. If you still love the person, why end it at all? Relationships aren't about you, they are about everyone else. Once you learn this you will be much more successful in your relationships.

I made the mistake of ending a 7 year relationship with my main high school girlfriend, and have regretted it the rest of my life. If you think that special connection and love grows on trees you will find out how rare it actually is. Figure out exactly why you want to end it and if it's for selfish reasons, you may want to rethink that decision...
It is like pulling off a bandage. It is painful but when it has to be done it has to be done.. Dont try to be friends right now.. as a matter of fact the less contact the better. Sorry you are having to make this choice.
    How old are you?
Let me tell you the story of my first love. I loved her with all my heart. For a while things were good, great even. She treated me perfectly. Then the first punch came. Then the apologies and promises to never hit me again. You know the story. The promises were empty. I had grown up in abuse. I had to decide if I wanted to live with it still even after leaving my father's house. In spite of how much I loved her and I loved her heart and soul, I had to make the choice to leave her. It hurt like hell. The first two months away from her were awful but I gained strength and that strength made me realize I was so much better than what she gave me.

Moral is, no matter how much you love someone, sometimes you need to get away from them if they're killing your spirit and hurting your very soul.

I do not know what Pinkie is going through but if she is in love yet feels she must leave anyway, then her very soul is hurting. She has to take care of herself first and always.
Find someone new. There are many fish in the sea. I'm a heartless devil!
    Are you ending it?
You listen to the Paul Simon song called , ''Fifty Ways to Leave Your Lover ''
Grief and remorse are two powerful emotions, add love and it looks like a mountain too high to climb, however, you must be strong with yourself, never look down as you climb always look up and forward, its a long way up there but you can do this, it just takes time and perseverance. Once you reach the top, you'll see for miles and you can then look down at the rocky path and smile away.. You did it.

Like others here, I don't understand why you would want to leave love behind unless of course, its a one way love, then i can understand it. Love is like tennis, the ball goes both ways, unlike golf where the ball goes only one way and ends up in a hole.

    Good luck..
Well then you must have good reason to end it. You take a deep breath and do it. It will hurt but having cancer removed from the body hurts too even though it's better for you in the long run. Then you go through the grief stage, things get better and you move on and find a better life with someone you can love and have love you back. You know what's best for you. Listen to yourself. Love yourself more than the pain.
What sucks in the relationship that you can walk away from someone you love? If it's an addiction problem, one can understand that. I'm thinking of what else it could be, but I'm drawing a blank.
If you love this person as you say then why are you wanting to end the relationship I'm not asking for details but hard to understand this arrangement
"MIND OVER MATTER" if, you don't mind, it don't matter. IF, YOU DO MIND LET THEM KNOW and don't be a FOOL like, I was 31 yrs. ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    yes i want to
