who can tell me about PRco extended warranty on a vehicle?

We just bought a 2005 KIA Sedona. We were given the option of buying an extended waranty for it. I sounds pretty good, but don't know anyone who has experienced it.

As a general rule the "extended warranty" that can be purchased are not a good plan.
Normaly you have to have the vehicle serviced at the sellers premises or at someone nominated by them.
The amount paid out for each claim is limited to a specific amount, often $2,000, which in most cases would not cover the repairs.
The total amount claimable is often limited to a total for each year so you could find your yearly total gone in first couple of months.
Only the main parts are covered gearbox, motor and differential and these only for complete breakdown.

It is something you should consider away from the Sales outlet with a copy of the full details in your hand without the experienced salesperson to influence you.If they wont give a copy of full details before you sign up ,well that should tell you.
I personaly have had these offered to me and members of my family but NEVER saw one worth the paper it was written on.

The old saying "Sounds too good to be true it probably is"
