          Neither it is square. Why else would we have a square meal, or get square, square up with a mate make sure a building is square?

          It is all to do with our bodies being affected by the earths square shape.

            Depends on your viewpoint. If you are flat footed on the earth, viewing within a short radius, it is flat. If you are above the earth, it is somewhat round.
