Yes but make sure to take your time, a loss such as you've experienced may take a few years to get over completely. It also may take at least a year to really get to know a lady, people seen to be able to hide their true selves when starting a new relationship.

Sorry for your loss! Maybe join an internet dating site, it may give you a wider variety of ladies to choose from. Take care and take your time.

Since you have an 11 year old, I think you should wait to get married and devote your attention to him, his sports, school, etc. Same with the 17 year old. He still needs his father especially since he just lost his Mother. Your Children come first. An occasional date with a nice woman that could lead to a long lasting relationship would be OK, but I would give it at least a year before you even start dating and try to wait at least until the boys are out of High School to get married.

How would your sons feel? Would they feel like you are trying to replace their Mother?

The 17 and 11 year old boys will be on their own soon, you can get along for a few years, give yourself time for the right woman, she's out there.
