You can also receive karma points if your answer is chosen as the best answer. At least that's the way it once was. They could have changed it. They tend to change the karma system every now and then. ;)

when do you get to vote TD, I'm new
I think you need somewhere around 60 or 65 karma to vote TD. Just know that anytime you give a TD vote, you also lose 10 karma points. This is to try and get people to use the TD vote wisely and for good reason, not just because you're mad at someone.
