dont quite see a question here nor a point....if you think were equal to god think again..
No one knows what fruit Eve plucked from the tree of knowledge but the apple is actually the last on the list of what the fruit might have been. The bible doesn't mention what fruit it was. Most popular guess now is the pomegranate.

Just a little fact you should know since you started your soapbox sermon and lost points immediately by showing your lack of knowledge about the bible's version of the original sin.

Now here's my soapbox sermon in response to yours.

We as Soul are created in God's image, not the body, not the mind, the Soul. Soul is immortal, Soul has awareness, not a mind. Soul is a part of God, this make each of us a part of God, just as Jesus is a part of God. We are all the same when we are in Soul form. Same, same, same. Jesus the man used I as his body was just as mortal as our bodies are. God, the creator is the IT and is bodiless so has no gender. IT is even greater than the I.

It seems to me, the ego problem here is your own peerbass.

There's really no question just peerbass's personal interpretation of the relationship between man and God. I think this was posted more for the feedback of his thoughts on the matter, rather than asking a question.
Well he did end his long comment with "when are we going to all open up our smug egos and concede we are truly made in His image and are (our?) Body, Mind and Soul along with the same lines as our Creator, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit?"

My answer to this is: we don't need to OPEN UP our egos to concede to anything. We need to LET GO of our egos, to not think about ourselves or self at all. But rather think of others and how we can help them, without gratification to our egos, and do so as Jesus did before us.

As I have said before, letting go of our egos is something that probably will take a lifetime of trying if not longer. It is a very difficult thing to do, to just stop thinking about yourself, your betterment etc. Not too many of us can do that entirely. Many of us do it in small ways everyday.

I also don't think that in any way, shape or form that we should take the words "God made man in his own image" exactly as it was written. I don't think God ever was a man. He may be the spirit of a man, but never the body of one, as was his son Jesus who lived on earth among us. If we were to see God stand before us today, he would come to us in a form that we could recognize, not becaues that's what he really looks like.

There are a lot of good church-going God-fearing people here. I take offense that this person should insinuate that any of them are other than that.

Daren is right - not a question in there. Not the point of this site.

Much ado about nothing. All you need to do is accept the shed blood of Christ for your self centered "I's" and short comings, and rest in His Grace. Nothing else matters.
