      His ideas appealed to MLK too because they felt that non-violence was the best way for blacks in the U.S. to achieve civil and human rights.

        I, along with many others respected MLK's ideology, but in reality the only thing that got instant attention was violence and destruction. Why? We humans seem to understand only one thing, force, brutal force.
