Try another finger or once you prick your finger, using your other hand go to the base of the pricked finger and start quick squeezes up the pricked finger to force the blood out of your finger. I had to do this with my grandfather because his blood pressure was low so the blood didn't circulate as well and it did take some pressure from squeezing to get the blood to exit the pricked area. It takes a minute amount of blood to get a reading so even a tiny bit should be enough.
