Don`t know but I am 79 and there were Coles stores when I was 5 yrs old that I can remember. Their slogan was nothing over 2/6 (25c). Pair of shoes 5/- which was two 2/6 But they said 2/6 Each shoe.
Mum and with a couple of kids would go to Wagga Wagga in the horse and sulky, 2 hr drive from the station (ranch) We had sheep and wheat.
