    I thought that was Dracula.
    I had to look this one up as I thought the same thing N. There were a couple of different places to read up on it and they both said the same thing - stakes in the middle of the body and burial at a crossroads. Who knew! Maybe that's where the idea for putting vampires to rest came from.
    Yes they were and they were also buried at a crossroads to boot.
