To block computer networking on your Mac, or disable "computer sharing", go to System Preferences > Sharing > and uncheck everything in the list. Note you could still "see" other people's computers in your Finder's window if you have an unsecured wireless internet connection, but they can't access your computer and you can't access theirs.
