is it really easier for a Camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than a rich man to pass through the gates of heaven, and if so, are Richard branson, steve jobs, and the Sultan of Brunai all shitting their selves?

the eye of a needle was a gateway in ancient jerusalem and if a camel was overloaded it could not get through as it was a narrow passage

    Good reply TU.
Yup! It was indeed an actual place. Very narrow, the passageway. And, also a parable.

But, I will also tell you, that the parable is an actual occurrence, to those who seek to believe it. Test yourself! Enter into the dream state, just long enough to go into lucid dreaming. While there, you must remember the test: Can a camel go through the eye of a needle? i tell you, yes, it is very possible, and right before your very own eyes.

The Lord also said, that if you have faith as the size of a grain of mustard seed, you can tell a mountain to be moved, plucked up by the root.

Is it possible? Absolutely!!!! The lucid state is a training ground to test people's faith. Why take it for granted? Use it for purpose!

    Your sister,
its also a parable spoken by christ. meaning lose your baggage and follow christ. if the sultan and his cronies are not true beleivers they should be s.....g themselves

I think you need your brain to be rewired.

I would hope someone as good as Steve Jobs would be able to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Just to add to micrio and Adreamer's comments. the Eye of a Needle was not only a narrow passage, it was a very low gate that, in order for a camel to get through it, the owner of the camel would have to unload everything from the camel's back, and most disturbingly, have the animal crawl on all four knees.  Camels, as you know, hate getting down on their knees.

Therefore, it is not that it's impossible for rich people like Richard Branson and Steve Jobs to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, it merely means they would have to work a little harder than commoners do.  The little old lady at the temple gave all she had and that, in essence, made Jesus very happy, even though she was dirt poor.

It was ALSO a saying by Dh :D
