I'm ill - infact I have so many problems with my health it is a joke. I am 35 and was retired at 32 (Medically). My life - is no life at all. I cannot walk, or move very much now. I was fine before all of this. My Dad was killed in a 'hit and run' - then I fell very ill. Has anyone else been through a similar thing?

If you have unresolved symptoms of depression, you may need more than one medication to help manage your condition. If you’ve taken an antidepressant for 6 weeks or more and still have symptoms of depression, talk to your doctor. He or she may decide to adjust your treatment plan and consider adding a medication like SEROQUEL XR to help you treat your depression.

Hey RP....hope you are well or as well as you can be...you have a good attitude considering all you have been through...you always have some of the best things to say to people having problems....you are to be admired...and are an inspiration to me...it feels great to be able to empathize and sympathize with you and so many others here...(:
If you can not think of a reason as to why you feel this way, then I would suggest it may be
melancholy

I see you added to your original question. what you first put wasn't much to go on. With the added info, I can see that you are depressed for reasons. Am I understanding you correctly that you didn't get sick until after your father died?
Yes Coleen. I had an illness before my Dad was killed, but afterwards - it was like I fell apart, physicaly. My spine just crumbled. Freaky.
Depression will do that. It settles into the weakest part of your body. You need more help than I can give. You need a counselor trained to deal with such deep set depression. I can only empathize with you and what you're going through but I can not offer you any suggestions that will just pull you out of it. Have you spoken to a professional about your depression? If not, you really need to.
for the walking part of it......try a chiropractor. The one I went to said he had people who came in there who couldn't walk. And he did them a lot of good.He helped me a lot with my back pain. Oh, and he helped my frined, Carol with her walking. Her vertebrae were so compressed, she could hardly walk. Then, she walked pretty godd.

Depression, is a form of anger. I understand why you are depressed. Can you not take up some kind of hobby? I know how it is to loose a parent. It takes a long time to get over it.

There are a lot of hobbies that one can do without walking. Writing, painting, crafting, reading, knitting to name a few.
