    why do people who go diving from a boat,usually fall in backwards ?

      If it's because of diving gear, going backwards makes sure the tanks clear the boat. Also if you were to go forward (face first), your momentum could be impeded by the weight of the gear causing you to hit the boat and possibly injure yourself.
