    Is there a relationship between movements such as realism and impressionsim and the camera?

    Realism and the camera may have a relationship only in that they both try to capture a "real view" of an object or subject. Impressionism has no relationship as this is based on a "subjective immpression" of a given subject or object that is then transfered to canvas.
