Just be happy that you have hair long enough to braid. When I was a young girl I had the prettiest long hair. My mom took me to the butcher shop(kicking and screaming) and had all my hair cut off. I was mortified and for about a year I wore a towel attached to my head with a rope so I could pretend my hair was still long. So why don't you get a brush and a handful of rubber bands right now and ask your mother to braid that gorgeous hair.
